Nickname: Cat. Often when introducing herself, she just offers you her nickname.

Hometown: Violet City, although she doesn't live there anymore.

Personality
Cat has a tough facade of confidence-borderline-arrogance, ruthlessness and indifference. She is not one to speak up or make a scene around her, quite preferring to be underestimated, reserved in her nature. Whenever she has a challenge at hand however, she does not hold back. When you want a job done efficiently and discretely, Cat is the one to turn to. Make no mistake - she is very capable and tough, to the point where her fear for showing weaknesses has driven her into perfectionism and self-critisism.

People often frown upon how harsh she can be towards her Pokémon, but when allowing some time for studying the team and their human, one can glimpse the true Cat - a rather lonely and confused individual. When alone with her Pokémon she is still silent but calmer and more pleasant and her team has come to adapt - or perhaps their personalities have been what have drawn them to Cat in the first place. At the end of the day, her Pokémon are her entire world which is perhaps why she takes defeat and failure so badly, taking it as her personal failures.

Cat sees herself superior to many trainers and upon victory she lets them know how pathetic they are in her eyes. Strangely enough, she has had a friend or two here and there and if she is only given time and space to get to know someone, she can be a rather pleasant but reserved person.

History
Katarzyna's story is not one of great tragedy, but it has its ups and downs. Her childhood was a pleasant one a bit outside Violet City. She lived with her parents and they had house with a small yard. Her mother was a somewhat unstable lady who fussed quite a lot, whilst her father was a laid back Ranger, quite absent when travelling, but no monster of a father. When Cat was 11, her father gave her a Pokémon he had obtained - a Charmander. Her mother was rather doubtful about this, but eventually let Cat have the Charmander.

From there, however, the happy family life went downhill with her parents' relationship straining to the point where it broke. Cat's father left and her mother had a mental breakdown, blaming Pokémon for taking her husband away. She directed her frustration towards Cat's Charmander, which she locked up in a room and refused to let out despite Cat's protests. Cat managed to feed the Charmander under the door during the following few weeks when her mother's bizarre behaviour escalated. One evening when Cat and her mother argued and Cat screamed at her mother to stop and leave her alone, frightened of how her mother had changed, there was a loud crack and a moment later a Charmeleon placed itself between Cat and her mother, snarling fiercely. It had evolved in its desperation to become strong enough to escape, but in the end it had been unable to leave Cat behind.

This was how it came to be that Cat left home at the age of 13, and the last she heard of her mother was a letter from a psychiatric clinic. Her father resumed contact when Cat was closer to 18 and from time to time they meet up or talk on the phone and Cat will show him her Pokémon or lie about her life and he will accept it all and know she is lying, but never question as he feels too bad about leaving her when she was younger. He even supports her financially from time to time since his career did a large upswing.

The Charmeleon, Elijah, was everything but obedient but at the same time wouldn't leave Cat. She toughened up a lot during the first time away, familiarising with gangs of various kinds, learning to defend herself. A lot of hard work later, Elijah became more obedient. By now she had obtained other Pokémon too, but was never a trainer in the sense she would have ran around catching Pokémon of different kinds. Her team was one of Pokémon she had run into in a way or other. She takes good care of her Pokémon and they are all in top shape, having been feed all supplements available and training daily.

To survive she used her talents and her Pokémon's talents for crime. Where as she is no longer affiliated with any 'Team', she has done the occasional intimidation or theif job or similar for most of them. Her relationship to Team Rocket is highly uneasy - she joined them when she first ran away but left around the time she was 20. By now there is no interest in pursuiting her for leaving, but she rarely has many options if they seek her out for a 'favour'. As long as she gets paid, Cat accepts.

Coming to Ohana Islands:
A long-term associate, friend by her standards, joked she should take some time off and accept an offer from Valkyrie Industries. Despite her dubious past, people with dubious connections within Valkyrie had heard of her and apparently thought there might be a need for a 'no bullshit' person. So it came to be Cat travelled to Ohana and her time there has been very peaceful thus far. Many of her Pokémon are by no means particularly people-friendly, but their talents have been put to use elsewhere, away from commotion where Cat herself prefers to be.

The peace has now brought a near-painful boredom and as the Battle Frontier Tournament was announced, she decided to join. Secretly nervous she calms herself by thinking that herself and her Pokémon have been trained in real battle, none of the Pokémon League and Gym rubbish.</sub>

The Team

<sub>Elijah
Species: Charmeleon
Gender: Male
About: Elijah was Cat's first Pokémon and remains as stubborn as ever. He has stayed a Charmeleon, albeit a very 'stereoid-pumped' one. He has quite the ego and is distrustful of people all since Cat's mother locked him in the room. That is also one of the reasons he is very hard to convince to return into a Pokéball. Cat's and Eli's arguments tend to look quite ugly.

Kearn
Species: Umbreon
Gender: Male
About: Kearn was Cat's second Pokémon and is quite a typical overachiever. He doesn't complain, but works hard to live up to both his and Cat's standards. Failure is not an option for him, and doesn't happen very often as aside from hard work he also benefits from a lot of talent.

Rikku
Species: Absol
Gender: Male
About: Rikku lives up to the title 'Disaster Pokémon', but not in the usual way. Where Rikku goes he causes disaster for his opponents. In a very sinister and omnious team, he is yet in his own league of mystery, proud and vicious.

Misha
Species: Liepard
Gender: Female
About: Misha is an albino Liepard Cat came across during her Rocket days. Due to her 'useless' nature, Misha wasn't wanted (she would either sleep or rip off someone's arm) but was fascinated by the sulking little girl with her grumpy Charmeleon. Cat took Misha into her team. Misha spends her days seemingly being lazy. Even when she is called into battle she will typically lie down and look bored. They say however, that what she really does is spend all those hours crafting Nasty Plots and she has a Special Attack stat to prove it. She will look adorable to trick humans into petting her, but really, she is a lazy sadist with no empathy and a passion for teasing Cat. When Cat is upset however, Misha is the one who will go and spawl out over Cat's lap and make her smile.

Natesha
Species: Swellow
Gender: Female
About: Natesha is the newest addition to Cat's team, but having said that she has been around quite a while. She's a tough bird with a lot of attitude and has no trouble holding her own in the team as well as in battle. Her speciality is her reckless tackles and dives and she is a very talented flyer.

Kelsig
Species: Corsola
Gender: Male
About: Kelsig is the tank of the team. He is abnormally large for a Corsola - large enough for Cat to sit on with her legs almost touching the ground however - and probably abnormally old too. When Cat once had to do with an isolated colony of Corsolas, he was impressed by the power display and seemingly bored with being an old monster on the bottom of the sea, so he approached Cat to join her 'adventure'. He is a powerhouse like no other and whilst slow on land, he is surprisingly swift underwater. Some of the corals on his back have grown there for so long that when he left his former home, they came with him and still grows there, well-established.</sub>
